Arc Boats

Arc Boats builds electric boats, and their El Segundo workplace had to speak the same language of sustainability. Matter designed a creative office that puts the company's environmental mission on display from the moment you walk in.

We worked in a breezy, natural palette of humble materials and prioritized vintage and preowned finishes and furniture over new — a lower-carbon, character-rich approach to a commercial interior. The result is a workplace that feels warm and lived-in rather than corporate.

From focus rooms to a communal cafe, the plan gives a fast-growing team room to gather, build, and think — an office interior tuned to how a mission-driven company actually works.
